Welcome to Healing Imperfectly

If you’ve found your way here, chances are you’ve been carrying more than most people can see. Maybe you’re navigating life with chronic illness, or caring for someone you love while quietly pushing aside your own exhaustion. Maybe you’re simply tired of being the one who holds everything together for everyone else. Whatever brought you here, I want you to know something important: you are not alone.

Why This Community Exists

Healing Imperfectly exists for the women who often feel invisible inside their own struggles—the ones who continue showing up for everyone else while quietly falling apart inside. It’s for the caregivers who give everything they have and still feel like it’s never quite enough, and for the women living with chronic illness who grow weary of trying to explain pain that others cannot see. For far too long, many of us have been told to simply push through, to stay positive, to be strong, and to keep going no matter how heavy things feel. But real healing doesn’t happen when we ignore what hurts. It begins when we allow ourselves to be honest about what we’re carrying. Healing Imperfectly was created to offer that honesty, along with the compassion, understanding, and connection that so many people quietly long for.

Meet the Founder

I’m Linnea Knisely, chronic illness and caregiver advocate, warrior and storyteller but more than that, I’m someone who knows what it feels like to lose yourself in the middle of trying to hold everything together.

When I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, everything I thought I knew about my life changed. My body felt like it betrayed me. My energy disappeared. My sense of identity started to fade but my responsibilities as a caregiver didn’t.

That’s how Healing Imperfectly was born.

It’s a community built from the pieces of my own healing — a place for women who are tired of pretending they’re okay. A safe space for the ones navigating chronic illness, mental health, anxiety, or the silent weight of caregiving.

You don’t have to be perfect here. You just have to be you.
